About
The TeddyVille Museum is also the abode of Mini Penang, where miniature bears are dressed and placed in small sets that represent the many attractions that Penang has to offer. It is a cute and cuddly summary of the sights and experiences you should never miss upon a visit to our delightful island.

Exceeded Expectations, Well Worth A Visit!
Apr 2021
We Absolutely Loved This Museum! We weren't expecting it to be so adorable. We thought the teddy bears were so cute, well displayed, and so much fun to look at. We really appreciated all the care that went into making each bear so unique. We enjoyed learning about the culture and history of Malaysia and learned so much about how Penang became what it is today. We smiled everytime we entered into a new room and could not believe how creative and vibrant each section was laid out for us to see. We will definitely be going back for a visit and we'll be smiling the whole time.

Wonderful demonstration of Penang culture and history
Jan 2020
This museum surprised me. I expected a typical museum with the history of variety of toys. However, it demonstrates the culture and history of Penang in such a creative and lovely manner, so I read every piece of information on the walls.

Teddy mania
Dec 2019 • Family
For teddy fan you should give a try visiting this museum. You will get a knowledge of the teddy story. There's a lot of pictures can be taken. It's located in the Doubletree by Hilton hotel. At the end of tour you may ask the staff to take a picture of you and family. Also there's a discount given if you buy the merchandise here.

A quirky look into the history & culture of Penang
Dec 2019
A hidden gem of a museum tucked inside the DoubleTree Resort. While it does have a one-room gallery about the history of teddy bears, its main feature is recreating historical and cultural scenes of Penang through miniature and larger-than-life-sized displays and models. I felt like I got a whole overview of Penang just by looking at the exhibits, such as the British colonization, hawkers' markets, and Kek Lok Si temple. Even my 60 year-old aunt, who grew up and lived in George Town her whole life, didn't know about this place and left quite impressed! Definitely an attraction that would delight children, but would also be of interest to anyone interested in a unique take on the history & culture of Penang.

More a brief history of Penang with life-size teddy bears
Nov 2019
Apart from the first 'room', this isn't a teddy bear museum. Rather, each room has something about the history or culture of Penang and Malaysia, with life-size + teddy bears dressed to represent the information.

Kids (little kids) may enjoy the teddy bear representatives, teens would be bored senseless, and we only went through because we had free entry tickets.

Never expected an adult like me who does not fancy teddy bears to be captivated by it. Kudos for putting in so much effort on the detailness. Definitely a must visit place !

Top notch for everyone

This place is well worth visiting.
Don't miss it. It is not a cheesy gimmick but a quality series of displays. Do it after you have toured penang and you will recognise places you have seen, learn more about them and have your experiences enhanced. Quite stylish not just a collection of toys.
Attention to detail, intricate and fun for all not just the kids.
We went early on our second last day, had a buffet breakfast as a treat at the hilton and then spent an hour or so here, and took a grab back to town. Fantastic. Do it.

Great museum
Oct 2019 • Friends
Really enjoyed my visit to this place. It is located at the ground floor of the doubletree hotel. If you are a hotel customer you get a reasonably fair discount for the entrance fees. For a teddy lover this place was just mesmerizing in terms of all the teddy bears put up for exhibition as well as the placards put up detailing the historical trail of teddy bears. Children would enjoy this place most likely though those adults who have always had a soft spot for teddy bears would be equally at home here! Its a great place for foreigners to get a glimpse of the essence of penang -via the teddy models. For me it was a well spent afternoon!

Nice teddy to be seen
Sep 2019 • Family
Happen to be in the hotel that we are staying and decided to bring my toddler to have a look. Initially I did not pin high hopes on seeing alot of teddy bears as it seem to be a small place to go. However to my surprise that there are really quite a numbers of them. They are group and dresses in races which is quite fun for us to walk around. Would say it's a place for kids to see all the teddy bears.
