Cool, laid back beach. Lots of chill friendly dogs roaming around watching surfers. Great for my 9 year old to swim.

Took my first surfing lesson ever at this beach. It poured. The water was so warm it didn't matter. Awesome.

Very nice beach. Also really good for surfing if the waves are bigger or to big at Santa Teresa. The environment is als less untouched.

This beach is not so much about laying down getting a tan, but more like a nice beach to learn about to surf. The waves are nicer than at many other places and the lifeguards is taking their work seriously!

We went for a surf lesson here. I got to the waves by a channel at the far end of the beach. The waves were great. A lot of surf schools go here but there is plenty of room.

We're traveling to Costa Rica first time next week. Are there restaurants in the area or do we need to pack food/drinks? Any suggestions for me?

Always bring water, it is hot. You can only get around by 4x4 and quads or ATVs are best. There are places in town that rent if your accommodations does not. The food is excellent! Everything is farm to table no matter where... More
