There is no way, someone visits Rhodes and will not spend at least a day in the magical and mystical Old town of Rhodes!!! It is a medieval city, built by the Knights of Saint John and is an UNESCO World Heritage City!!! It is the only ancient city that is inhabited even until now with more than 4000 Rhodians!... More

The port opening is where the mythical Colossus of Rhodos stood, welcoming mariners to its harbor, now you have a stag and bull on its perch. Vast castle walls surrounds the old city and its ancient streets and buildings.

This really was an incredible city. Almost like Disney did it...that is a compliment, meaning it was just about perfect. We were on a cruise and it was just steps from the ship.

This is a must visit. There are so many places to see and walking in the old town you can feel the history, if you are good listener you can hear the voice of history from the authentic old buildings. There are many shops that you can buy very nice souvenirs and cafes and restaurants that also can taste delicious... More

Many things I appreciated about our day in Rhodes: 1. From the cruise ship to the Old Town walls is about a 5-7 minute walk. 2. In the harbor there was a manned information desk with maps and also a stamp that you could potentially put in a passport. 3. Lots of shops, restaurants, bakeries, and a pharmacy all within... More

It's the heart of the city. History is mixed up with every day life. There are shops, cafes, restaurants, hotels, houses, museums, but everything is so well combined with the place, its architecture and its history. Take a walk around and you will fall in love with it..

Our excursion with our guide started around 10 a.m. Encompassed with tall defense walls, The Medieval Old Town of Rhodes was a huge place to explore. The walk around the outside wall was very beautiful, mostly parks and stopping points to overlook open walking area with grass, walking paths and trees. The City had 11 gates and each gate had... We arrived to the city at the end of our day so we had a short stop there. People were very friendly and busy getting ready to go home.
