Very, very, very touristy.. the grotto is rather small, you get into the boat and the guy that takes you in almost immediately starts making jokes about his tip and does not stop until you get out again 10 minutes later. We had a good...More

Very pretty. Lovely and cool in the summer but very small. Entrance fee only 5 euros. Staff on the boats not great but worth a visit

If you're in the area this is worth a quick visit. You won't be there long but for 5 euros you get a short paddle boat tour and simple explanation.

Lovely trip. Taken on a rowing boat round the caves. Beautiful still clear water and got to see the hidden nativity scene.

Grotta dello Smeralda is worth the short visit and low price. Yes the tour guides are cheesy and they do pack you into to boats with random strangers but the green light within the Grotto is quite the sight. The light emanates from hole in...More

This was a 'nice' place but I don't think it was worth the €5 each. It's only small & yes the cave's water is emerald green you are rowed around it in 10mins & that's it. It's not a 'must see' in my opinion.

We were lucky to find a parking near the elevator which takes you within 20 m of the grotto. I regret that the experience was underwhelming marred by the guides. The first guide tried to squeeze 4 pax into 2 spaces. The next guide started...More

All the reviews are true, so if depends on your perspective. We took the local bus (SITA) from Amalfi to the grotta (one stop). The boat was 5 euro each. You basically float around in a small cave that has an emerald glow one the...More

It's a small grotto, but you will definitely want a guide to take you there. The hotels will be happy to help you find a guide. We found ours on the internet. You don't want to drive the Amalfi coast and its towns on your... More
