Villa Carlotta welcomes you with its magnificent botanic garden and art masterpieces in over 70.000 square metres of gardens and museum. The gardens to the villa are beautiful. Make sure to leave some time to just wander them. The villa itself is kind of forgettable.

Villa Carlotta is definitely worth a visit - it's better than the gardenas of Villa Cipressi and Villa Monastero in Varenna, according to my opinion. The garden is well maintained, the paths are easy to follow and the view over Lago di Como is stunning....More

Of all the villas that we visited on lake Como, I liked the gardens of Villa Carlotta the best. They're so big and diverse, you can spend hours wandering here and enjoying all the views. Lots of good places for taking photos. Villa itself also...More

Saw this villa as part of a Viatour. Our guide let us wander on our own and we had about an hour. If I had more time, I would have walked a little in the gardens. Gardens are as large as Longwood Gardens in the...More

The interior was abit disappointing. One great ceiling. Facades on the lake size is very impressive and many levels. Gardens are varied with fern Gully, cactus and japanese gardens. Would be amazing in April and may when the Azaleas and rhododendrons are flowering
