Entrance through museum shop. Sorry no dogs except assistance dogs. The Burn family home for nearly 300 years. ​18th century farmhouse with barn and outbuildings. Victorian school room. Medical room. Childhood and toys display. Militaria exhibition. Hornsea Pottery with over 2000 items on display. The Whitedale building with a working model railway layout including Hornsea station and scale model fishing boats.

Excellent museum with so much to do and see. Victorian schoolroom, model railway, toy room, Hornsea Pottery exhibition and so much more. Helpful volunteers and well displayed and informative rooms. Well worth a visit whatever the weather.

We went for a look around and was amazed how much of the stuff in there we remembered from our youth, good value for money, and if you keep your receipt you can go back for another look for free.

Sorry but dogs, are not admitted ( guide dogs are of course ). We have a family of mice but not sure that they would be able to entertain visitors!
