Enjoyed a visit to this free local museum about the Medway area, the ornate "ballroom" was amazing, but the highlight for me was the displays about the prison hulks something I knew very little about. Worth a visit

We took our two grandchildren along (7 & 5) and they enjoyed especially the prison hulks. The museum is in two separate buildings divided by an alleyway and has free entry for visitors.

Me, wife and 2 girls (9 and 6) enjoyed this. It was interesting especially the hulks. It rounded off a nice day trip to rochester and it has to be 5 stars as its free to enter.

Day out in Rochester and came across this museum, good selection of artefacts but standouts for us were the hulks exhibition (really brought the experience to life) and the battle of Medway. And a good tea shop over the road 😀

The museum has a great collection. It is nice to have free access and just the place itself is wonderful.

A very good educational day. With free admission so you can take the whole family and the neighbours. The video footage is a must see too.
