Simple and evocative memorial to the commando's and their training with a small Garden of Remembrance nearby. There is also a "marker cairn" showing the directions of the main hill and mountain ranges. On a clear day, Ben Nevis is visible in the distance.

The monument, just off the A82 north of Fort William, has a commanding view of the Nevis range and is set in the midst of the Commandos training ground. It is a very impressive memorial to those who served their country in this way.

A monument, seen in the picture, and some personal messages and memorial stones in a separate area for fallen Commandos. Very touching, and a special place for all Royal Marines and their families.

Just go. That's all really. The most beautiful and moving place we have ever been. Even the children picked up on what an emotional place this is.

My tour bus made a stop here. The statue itself is nice. For a statue. The views of the surrounding areas are fabulous. A good picture location.

It' slightly uphill from the car park, but if she takes it slowly and has help she should be ok. Failing that, the monument is fully visible from the car park.
