We were so lucky to find Captain Ted and Joanie to take us through Desolation Sound in late September, when most boat tours have ceased for the season, and to have impeccable weather. The day was perfect — good company, stellar views, unparalleled grilled salmon and homegrown vegetables. You cannot go wrong booking this tour! (Important note to Trip Advisor:... More

We were so lucky to be accommodated at the last minute for the day tour of Desolation Sound. Ted and Joanie are longtime residents sharing their in-depth knowledge and affection for the area and it's wildlife. The boat is comfy, and they even thoughtfully provide blankets to keep warm on the outside upper deck. The lunch was fantastically yummy, and... More

We spent the day cruising to Desolation Sound and had a great time. Ted and Joanie were marvelous hosts and took such good care of us. Provided us with lots of interesting history and information about the area. The lunch was just amazing. The most delicious fish and salad that was cooked on the boat. We highly recommend spending a... More

So glad we didn't take the offer to change our cruise day due to a poor weather forecast. The ceiling was high enough to allow a clear view of the tops of the mountains surrounding us. Although the beautiful location creates an amazing experience of the beauty of Desolation Sound, the attention and friendliness of our hosts, Ted and Joannie,... More

My parents booked us on an afternoon dinner cruise. Highly recommend this company. The view, food was amazing. I'm still talking about the dinner. Our guides were great! Everyone in our group had a great time.

We booked this tour about a month ahead of time. We did the five hour lunch tour. Desolation Sound is unbelievably beautiful. We had fantastic weather and it was amazing just to sit in the boat and enjoy. Ted was a great tour guide - very knowledgable about the area. The lunch was delicious!

This was our second cruise and find this the best way to show off the beautiful surroundings to visitors. Ted was a great host. Lunch was great as always and the swim refreshing.

Fantastic boat cruise through the Copeland Islands towards Desolation Sound. The scenery was so breathtaking and the weather was spectacular. Our hosts Joanie and Ted were incredible - warm, knowledgeable, great conversationalists and so full of life!! You just wanted to hear all about their adventures! Their boat, the Agate Pass, is beautiful and very roomy. A lot of great... More
