The museum is really modern and professionally laid out. We were given a leaflet in English, and most of the exhibits had English translations which was a relief! Being British it was slightly bizarre to see the British artwork on display when we had travelled...More

Lovely small museum dedicated to life and paintings of Hokusai. Amazing building and that art isn't and too ! very well thought out and all exhibits in japanese and english - worth 30 mins if on Obuse

This a small museum and provides quite a good overview of works by Hokusai. The entry fee (1000 yen) relatively expensive, but we will only ever visit once.

I really enjoyed this museum. Having not known much about Hokusai before, I felt I learned a lot and gained a great appreciation of his work. Definitely worth a visit!
