Nice castle on the island in the midlle of the lake. Great boat ride, amazing views. Iz s unfinished caste, wannabe Versailles look a like. Interesting toor in the castle!! 20 min walk from boat to castle is refreshing and so peacefull.

Take a quick tour through the castle and compare the completed rooms with the "incomplete" section and be amazed at the level of detail and craftsmanship in this castle. The hall of mirrors is breathtaking.

This is not in several of the guide books but so worth the visit. We thought it the best of all of Bavarian castles- not crowded, pleasant boat ride and stroll to castle. Versailles hall of mirrors was outstanding without the lines!

Wow, was a thought in many of the rooms of this castle/schloss. We already visited Neuschwanstein and Linderhof and this one is great too. What a life he had. As a familiy we only payed 18 Euro, 9 per adult. So this was really worth...More

I am sorry but I arrived by car and don’t know the answer. I do not recall seeing something obvious but, my suggestion , how about you call a local hotel and ask them?
