Nice Friendly Place

We arranged for our tour on line - very prompt courteous responses from Jacy, who turned out to also be the person showing us around.

We learnt a lot during the very informal tour and asked a lot of questions.

The owners were there and whilst we were tasting their wines cut of some fresh figs to eat!

If you want to see and learn about wine production in a small vineyard, then it’s well worth the visit.

Absolutely wonderful experience

Personally I appreciate small producers trying new things. The wine here stands up to anything we tried, and we really appreciate the mix of tradition with new ideas. The 2017 tzingarella I could drink everyday if I had it. The 2015 Classico amazing as well...

The grounds are fantastic. Ancient and aesthetically pleasing. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. If you’re into small production give them a visit.

Nice place, average interaction.

We arrived at our pre-arranged time for our tour. It seemed like they were not ready for us. We were not shown the grounds nor the cellar but were ushered directly into the tasting room. The decor was very nice but the woman doing the tasting presentation was just average. She had no real enthusiasm for the products and she seemed to be just "going through the motions" of the tasting.
The wines and olive oil tasted were good but the whole experience was not special. Maybe just a bad day, too bad it was at our expense.

Great small winery

We were driving through Chianti and wanted to taste wines but didn’t have a booking anywhere. After stopping at several closed wineries, we stumbled on this gem. The lady working there is super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and wine. We enjoyed the three wine tastings, two of which are very different than we’ve experienced. Great atmosphere, would recommend.

Great little winery with a good view. Very easy to miss so make sure to pay attention so you do not have to find a place to turn around. This place does not show up on google maps - trip advisor is your friend in Italy.

"Great wines are made on the vine, not in the barrel"
Apr 2018 • Couples
We had our most informative vineyard visit in Tuscany at the Monte Bernardi vineyard (and the wine is pretty darn good too). Our guide took us into the vineyards and told us a lot about the soil, the vines, what it means to make an organic wine, and a lot more. We asked a lot of questions. Their cellar is small and is built into the hill that they are on (see photos). What really stood out for me was way that our guide explained the importance of the terroir and how they worked the vines: "Great wines are made on the vine, not in the barrel".

Great wine, wonderful staff and a memories we won't forget!

Over a year ago we researched this area and Panzano knowing we had a special occasion in 2017 that we wanted to 'celebrate' with family & friends. Not only do they have fabulous wine, but the owner Micheal and his staff, Jacy & Lisa made our time there fabulous. Attached to the winery is a fabulous villa built in the 1800's that we reserved for 3 weeks for our family and friends; each group one week. It was fabulous as well as having a wine shop steps from our villa and the kindness of everyone there. Morning we cool and fabulous; plenty of sun by the pool and days of exploring! This is a must and we hope to be back again some day and the best part, they have distributors in USA for their wine! Ciao bellas'

Nice people, great wine

This is a great place to stop for a tasting. Very nice people (fluent English speaking). Family owned and operated. All of the grapes for the red wines are grown either on their estate or on the property next door. Organic and biodynamic cultivation.

The wines are great and they also make fantastic olive oil.

Beautiful location. Exactly halfway between Florence and Sienna on the SP222.

Last stop for day
Sep 2015 • Couples
This was our fourth and final winery of the day on our Chianti Classico Gallo Nero Wine Tour with Claudia from TuscanyEx and was a real surpise.

This is a fairly small Husband and Wife run winery which also has cottages onsite where you can stay.

Not as grand as the other wineries that we visited but very unique and we were made to feel very welcome as we learnt about the wine that they made and of course tried a few.So glad we visited this smaller winery with good wines, fantastic views and great hosts.

Excellent way to round off our day wine tasting in Chianti.

Great wine experience
Sep 2015 • Couples
We stopped by this place after lunch to taste some local Tuscan wines and we were blown away. We sampled 5 wines; 4 reds which were grown at the vineyard and 1 white which the grapes were brought in elsewhere. We got to learn a lot about chianti and the vineyard. The gentleman pouring was wonderful and I highly recommend stopping.
