Puerto Rico town and shopping centre used to be nice, we can only assume. The place has addictive substance issues. It has got to, we were warned, and we felt very uneasy and uncomfortable walking here. Promenade during the day is patrolled by timeshare touts who hound you.

So went to puerto rico with 2 pcr tests on 31rst dec was not asked for same, we stayed in private accommodation but what I seen no one was asked, was extremely quiet over with very limited resturants open as in roughly 6/7 there was a curfew to be indoors by 12 with everywhere closed the first wk, 2nd wk it changed to 11pm and 3rd wk it changed to 10pm with talks of 8pm or total lockdown, you wear masks everywhere including streets, walking, beach if using toilet or moving around, beach also very quiet with only a few chairs but plenty at the same to to accommodate, if you jog or high intensity exercise outside you dont need a mask unless in crowd but again it's so quiet, I went early 8am met maybe 3 ppl. It came out 16th jan for pcr tests flying back to dub, this cost 140 each for myself n hubby but if you are solo its 160 as there where 3 guys in front of me this is what they paid each, pcr test was required by rynair and in dublin airport we where asked 4 times between airports for it along with location form, it was okay for us as we go to relax so 10pm was grand but for anyone going for a holiday of the norm my opinion would be stay home it's not worth it, hope this helps someone

Amazing little beach that the water is cold and deep for swimming.
Dec 2020
There are rocks further out to stop sea level entrance which makes the water clear and clean. Not salty water at all! Public toilet and restaurant and Spar supermarket on the beach. You can hire the beds for the day or simply bring your beach towel and plonk your bum down!

Beautiful beach and crystal clear water,so relaxing. Very nice to swim in with small kids as the water is low until far.

OK for an afternoon out from Playa Del Ingles
Dec 2019
We had a day trip here from Playa del Ingles / Maspalamos area, for a bit of variety. Its easy to get to by bus from these places and takes approx. half an hour.

The beach maybe has a slightly nicer, busier feel to it but maybe that is because it is much smaller and compact than the PDI beach.

It has quite a few bars and restaurants close to the beach so is a good place to sit with a drink in the sunshine.

I would not want to be staying in one of the hotels perched high on the hills behind the beach, or in the resort for a whole holiday, I think I would tire of it quickly.

If you are staying in the larger, busier PDI area then you might want to have a trip out here as a change of scenery, but other than that its nothing special.

Nice beach but rather busy
May 2019 • Family
We spent half a day here on our last day of our holiday but it was more than enough as towards lunch time it was getting VERY busy. Lovely beach and sea though and lots of gift (tat!) shops for the kids to spend their pennies on.
