This has the potential to be more interesting but was more like a passing corridor on the way to other activities, it took us a maximum of 5mins to see it all. Apparently there was one demonstration but we found out about this after the time as it was advertised on the main activity sheet we got with our ticket

Really interesting part of Wookey Hole. There were staff on hand all day to show how cotton wool is turned into paper. You are invited to put your hands in the water had feel the soft pulp before it is churned and put into wooden frames, turned out and squeezed, resulting in a piece of paper that you can take... Why charge for entry, include all the fun things to do, then not staff the attractions?? This was just an empty room when we walked through. We had gone on a very quiet day, hardly any visitors, almost had the place to ourselves, which was lovely, until you realise that they'd obviously halved the number of staff too. I read... More

A very interesting part of the Wookey Hole experience. Our 11yr old son was asked to join the presenter in the making of some paper which he really enjoyed. They have done a great job keeping this old time tradition alive :)

Watched a brilliant demonstration in the paper mill. The kids helping out with the demonstration were having a brilliant time. Highly recommend!!

This attraction is actually part of Wookey Hole Caves. The paper mill was deserted when we went in and by the looks of it has been deserted for some time. In fact most of Wookey Hole seemed deserted.

We really enjoyed this part of Wookey! Watching this Master of his trade make paper was very interesting. The depth of knowledge he had was superb! We never really new you can also make paper from old denim! Long may you continue show casing this ancient trade!

Man was nearly 10 minutes late, but we did see him later emptying the bin and cleaning, it looks like everyone chips in and is constantly working. L We were there first so got to see the hemp and shredded denim, next to the paper, there is some information, but it would of been nice for some more information about... More

In the mill we ate in the quite reasonable cafeteria, saw the Circus show put on by the circus school which was excellent, had fun in the mirror maze, let the kids play in the soft play area and had a bit of fun in the antique arcade. The whole place seems a little behind the times but that kind... More
