This beach is absolutely beautiful! It's very clean and It didn't seem to get crowded at all. Yes you do have to pay for parking and also have to pay to use the bathroom/showers. The parking I get but the facilities.. Bummer! anyway with that being said there is a nice spot to get drinks and food which was really... More

Today was our second visit to this beach (came 3 years ago as well) and it was just as we remembered it. We stayed all day and will be back tomorrow!! Our kids, ages 9 and 6 played all day in the waves - not too rough, unlike the other side of Luquillo. Rented kayaks for $5pp, parking was $5,... More

We visited late afternoon on a Wednesday after a trip through the El Yunque rain forest and lunch at La Parilla. This was a great way to end the day. The beach was rather deserted, but there were a few small groups of tourists and locals. The parking area is immediately off of Route 3 and well-marked. The parking lot... More

My friends and I wanted to get out of the San Juan area to explore more beaches in the area and ended up here. We weren't expecting much but were all very happily surprised!! It's close to the rain forest so you can drive through and then venture to the beach. They have a concession stand with alcohol and food... More

A great place to take the little kids, as they will not be overwhelmed by the waves. Also great for old folks too. Small restaurant serving lunch food and many kinds of drinks. Beach was very clean, with a great view of El Yunque. We went several times during our visit when we did not want to play in sometimes... More

It's gorgeous with plenty of sun and calm waters. This is one of Puerto Rico's premier beaches. There is a food cabana for snacks, sodas or drinks. For $1, there are all-day bathroom privileges and a cute tee shirt/gift shop. Fortuna beach is a 3/4-mile walk where beautiful little seashells await. This beach is a treasure!

The thing that outstands in this beach is its proximity to the "kioskos de Luquillo" (an entire strip with approximately 60 local establishments). The perfect place to spend the entire day. Camp grounds are available too.

This beach is definitely worth the $5 per car. There is plenty of sand to spread out and it doesn't feel crowded. There are little to no waves, so it would be great for kids. There's also a good mix of sun and shade! My travel companion and I took a nice walk along the beach to the east and... More
