The Roeselare Cycling Museum (Polenplein) is now being completely refurbished. While the work is in progress, the Fathers' Church will be used as the new temporary setting for the exhibition "Cycling is a Religion". Cycling is a Religion. In Flanders and elsewhere. This exhibition explains why, on the basis of two routes. In the side aisles of the Father's church visitors will discover "The Pilgrimage: a procession of cycling chapels", while in the nave they will have the opportunity to follow "The Way of the Cross: Via Dolorosa of the cyclists. On the way, you will have the chance to observe the unique Cycling Robes, a Peloton of Cycling Gods and the impressive Iron Cross.

Really enjoyed the overall experience. I am a cycling nut and this was a great place to visit. They have a lot of old bikes used in cycling and history. Very interesting how they incorporated into a real church. If you live cycling worth the visit.

It's official. I've awarded Roeselare my most Bonkers Museum of the Year Award. In a good way. The temporary exhibition is beautifully designed and thought provoking and guaranteed to be unlike any other museum you'll see any time soon

The temporary exhibition in a former church could not have been located better. The link between racing and religion may not be obvious at first sight, but it is shown, with a lot of humour

Due to works in the museum, a new exposition (Cycling is religion) is created in the Paterskerk. It's only 2 minutes from the museum by foot. The exposition is fascinating: beautiful stories, jerseys and bikes! The location, a church, is unique and makes the exposition even more worth visiting.

For cycling fans this museum is a must, combined with a chance to visit a nice town! The museum is well laid out and full of fascinating memorabilia and information. It is well worth a visit. Be warned the parking meters are a bit confusing for non Flemish speakers, but the locals were really helpful and there is a car... More

Really informative even though there isn't much in Englis. Well worth a visit. If you are a cycling enthusiast you will love it.
