I did this twice both times going down and it never seemed like a lot of stairs. Probably because you stop constantly to admire the beautiful and powerful waterfall.

327 steps sounds intimidating to some, but it was not that bad and the beautiful views of the falls from the well positioned platforms made it very easy to take breaks. Many good photo ops. Very popular although not nearly as crowded as other attractions...More

One of the other great sights to witness while in Geiranger. Each of the attractions were fantastic and are well worth the effort to experience.

There are ramps and stairs alongside a waterfall. We parked at the fjord centre and only hiked a small bit. Nice little stop.

You need to start at the bottom and walk all the way up to the top of the falls. You can stop and take pictures along the way. It is many stairs, but worth every one of them. Do not miss this free attraction.

a nice opportunity to get off of the cruise ship and see a small bit of nature in case you're not taking another excursion ... about a 10 minute walk from the dock, then up the stairs.... watch the rush of water as you climb...More

You can get there two different ways. From the point where you get off your boat onto the docks you can take a steep switchback road up the hill right behind the shops at the dock. Or, you can walk around the front of... More
