The Monteverde Orchid Garden is a place where you can enjoy beauty that is found in the marvelous world of orchids. Our garden has a large collection of orchids; we have more than 425 different species. You can find species that are endemic to Monteverde, and a collection of miniature orchids, including the smallest one in the world. We offer guided walks both in English and Spanish. We are in a great location in down town Santa Elena.

Thought we would be there an hour at best, we spent exploring orchids and getting a most imformative tour of flowers I thought I might know. What a surprise to learn so much about something so miniature.

I never knew that there were so many different species of orchids - and some of these are so minuscule that the magnifying glass really is necessary to see how perfect every little bloom is. A very well-informed young guide, whose English was excellent.

My husband grows orchids under lights, but nothing like this. Very interesting to see so many native orchids, including some VERY small. Very knowledgeable, friendly guide.

Started the tour knowing very little about Orchids. Our 40 minute guided tour of the garden was very interesting speaking to a variety of orchids, their characteristics and history. So keen to start my own orchid garden now. Thank you!

This is a small place and not overly impressive. The reason I am rating it 4 is because of the guide. It is clear that he loves his job and orchids, he makes everything interesting and provides interesting facts to make the attraction much more interesting.

The guide was very well informed, but didn't want us to stop and take photos during the tour. The Cafe next door was quite good. I recommend it.

We found this by accident and wandered in. Our guide was wonderful -- told us more about orchids than we had ever imagined, and was fascinating. A delightful surprise.

We were travelling as friends and did this tour on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. It was reasonably priced, interesting, and only took about 45-50 min. Our tour guide was great. We learned a lot and saw beautiful orchids.

We were unsure whether to visit the Orchid garden but glad we did. We looked around before the tour and wondered what we would be shown. When the guide showed us round it was actually fascinating all the orchids that were there. We spent an hour at the garden and learnt some interest information about orchids and lots of photos.
