Enjoyed a long walk along this beautiful sand and sea scape where its history overlays everything about it. Well worth a visit.

Once I got there I was impressed, there was a lot going on activity wise great for families, The beach was very clean and big, parking was easy access from the port is very good and the local people are friendly
The beach is huge, and has easy parking nearby. During the low tide, the sea is very very far. Clean and pleasant. After the dune level there are tables for picnicking.
Visited this D Day site on a sunny afternoon in March with only a few locals and visitors walking on the beach. Seeing the beautiful peaceful scene today it is hard to picture the horror which faced our troops arriving by landing craft in June...More
Bearing in mind the history of the D-Day landings, there are local attractions but to me it all seems a little too irrevelant today unfortunately. One cannot blame the local trades and visitors for enjoying the long beach and sea for what they see today.
