Canvey beach now has two crabbing pools with railings and safety features which has enhanced the area. More murals for walkers to view with more being painted all the time. I notice a couple of reviews say no deckchairs are available, the shop on Concord Beach has deckchairs for hire for £1 a day which I think is cheap as... More

Had a nice little walk from our hotel down to the esplanade and saw a cargo ship entering the Thames and one leaving. Saw a little bit of sand but the water really isn't for paddling in

It's been a while since I had a walk on the sea wall , it won't be long till I go again. It's clean there are places to stop for a cup of tea or a snack . Plenty of seating too. There are murals which show some of the history of the island.

Not disappointed 😀 I recently went back to visit Canvey Island Esplanade. I used to live on the Island many years ago & fully expected to find the seafront & amenities run down & tatty ,but on the contrary, it was fresh litter & graffiti free 😎Some very nice fish & chip shops & little tea shops too . Of... More

Walk along the prom on a summers day and you could be anywhere in the world. Views of Kent across the water. Little cafes if you get thirsty or fancy a poke of chips. Plenty of bars should you fancy a tipple

We moved to Canvey in 2015. We downsized to a bungalow five minutes from the beach. As a young boy in the 60s from London it was a day trip. The place degenerated over the years and it became seedy and dirty. However, with the closure of many of the arcades with new condo's being built, Canvey started to pick... More

As I live about 1/2 Mile from the Seafront at Canvey I can speak quite bluntly about it. As with most smaller Coastal towns there is not a great deal to do regarding entertainment for the Kids. There is the Labworth Beach Cafe where you can get refreshments but at a price I might add. Along the Esplanade there are... More
