nice spot for a walk and to view the canal and boats. Walks all on the flat. 2 nice cafes locally too for you to grab a bite to eat.

Wonderful example of Victorian ingenuity the way the locks work.Idylic spot in the summer time just sit and enjoy the view.We also come here to visit the ship inn which is next to the locks,but sadly due to a fire it's closed at the moment due to re-open in June 2019.

Really nice spot for a walk near the 2 marinas. Very photogenic spot with the locks ,marina and the barges.

This is a lovely place for a nice day out. You can picnic on the canal bank by the locks and watch the barges going through the locks. Quite fascinating. A lovely pub next to the locks very friendly lovely food.Theres ssnall stresm where the children can paddle safely.You can walk to parboiled, rufford or Burscough from this brNch to other lovely canal side pubs. Well worth a visit.…
