So lucky that we did at the day was cold enough with lots of drift ice during Aurora sightseeing. It's amazing and great feel when the special ship break the ice. Must visit .

Our tour group Signet Tours took us here, was very crowded, but so worth the view! We were lucky just had a big Siberia storm came a few days before the excursion. The whole sea was frozen, filled with floating ice, so beautiful! The icebreaker cuts right through them, was amazing! Cold, dress warm when you go outside.

We were lucky that the floes were only 50 metres away from where the boat was decked. So it was "ice breaking" all the way as soon as the boat started its journey crushing through the ice drift! If you stay at the rear of the boat you can witness a mesmerising view of the path where the boat cleaves... More

The boat is quite big, can carry more than 300 people. Stay on the left/right of 2nd floor to see the boat hitting on iceberg up close. roof top is nice, but can we a bit too windy

Perfect sunny day, tones of sea eagles. Great day out. The sea ice had gone out about one mile since yesterday but was still only a ten minute ride before we reached it. We also did the cruise out of Monbetsu both highly recommended.

This winter time activity (January to March) is truly a great experience of sailing amongst the drift ice that gathers from the Okhotski Sea. The Aurora is a specialised vessel that takes you out of the harbour and right into the ice floes. While it is warm and comfortable inside, make the effort and brave the cold out on deck,... More

You can see and feel ice floe if you are lucky only in this time of year. It definitely deserves 3300 yen. It is extremely cold, but very refreshing. Awesome!!! これは凄い。この流氷体験は、この時期に網走に来たら絶対トライすべし。期間限定かつ運が良ければ、3300円の価値大あり。

We drove all the way to Abashiri from Asahikawa just for the sake of drift ice, however it turned us down as there was no drift ice on the day we were at Aurora cruise ship. We were expecting there would be a lot of ice on the sea since end of January should be the peak of winter. It... More

It's hard to offer any higher rating for this attraction. We flew to Abashiri specifically for this attraction from Sapporo. We were realistic, we were aware it was early in the season and suspected it would be a trip focussed on wildlife viewing. We even looked forward to sighting various animals and/or significant geographical and man made structures. We first... More

The day we took the boat trip along the coast was foggy. As a result there was not a lot to see. I'd recommend you just find another activity when the weather restricts the views.
