We enjoyed the visit here, which is in the middle of the shoe making area of Germany, but would have preferred more lighting so as to see the shoes exhibited more clearly. Loved the old shoes, for crushing chestnuts for eg, or the pointy toed...More

The museum is very interesting, but it becomes rather much after a while. The information is I believe mostly in German, which makes it hard work for non-German speakers.

It is such a good reflection of Social history and helps to understand how the village has changed. It also reflects the changes in Europe at the time of the height of the industry. Great displays!
