More
Set in a landscape of rolling hills about 100 m above the River Elbe lies Gross-Sedlitz Baroque Garden. In this spacious garden visitors can still promenade as in the days of Augustus the Strong. The original style of a French garden has merged with Italian influences, forming a truly unusual garden, in which visitors will find a variety of fountains, flower beds, sculptures and orangeries in an individual and yet harmonious combination.

We visited this garden when early spring flowers were just out. The arrangement of the flowerbeds and the different flowers in them was attractive. There were a number of orange tree on blossom and with fruit on them still inside the building, but a show...More

It was a pleasant walk from the S1 station through the countryside to this attraction. It being March the trees were still leafless and the fountains silent. Nevertheless the scale of the gardens was impressive. We enjoyed a relaxing walk around the manicured paths. There...More

On our way driving to Dresden we decided to take in the hilly region of Sachsische Schweiz. Our guidebook indicated a baroque garden along the route so we decided to drop by. What a great garden, apparently in the middle of no-where. This location was...More
