I strongly recommend the visit to the Museo del Pianforte Storico e del Suono of Fabriano. As you are guided through the history of the evolution of pianos from the end of the18th to the beginning of the 20th century by listening to music played live by a talented musician, you feel you're traveling back in time. I enjoyed listening... More

Tour was only in Italian. The was a summarization pamphlet in English but I did not have time to read it before the tour and they took it back at the end.

An unusual museum, very interesting explanation about pianoforte history. Collection of old pianos. The guide was also a musician and after each explanation played nicely.

A wonderful museum and guided tour, with some of the restored instruments played to hear the differences as they developed through the years. We were very fortunate to have the owner show us through, and his enthusiasm and knowledge were infectious. A must see if you are in Fabriano. We will certainly visit again.

The Museo del Pianoforte is an absolutely amazing find. Music lovers will be enthralled by this presentation of the development of the piano. Guided tours take 50 minutes and include the playing of melodies by among others Brahms, Listz and Bach by your pianist guide. The setting of the museum exhibits is most unusual and attractive, creating a wonderful atmosphere... More
