We went here to see the second largest collection of Van Gogh pictures, and saw much more. Included were lesser known impressionist arras well as the more famous, e.g. monet. All the art is nicely displayed in a clean well lighted museum. There are also examples of modern art if that is your forte. Outside the building is a large... More

The museum has an impressive collection of Van Gogh and equally impressive collection of pointillists but walking through the sculpture garden was the real highlight of our day. It's one of the most tranquil museums I've ever been and you can really enjoy the art without the noise and the crowds. Also the park that surrounds the museum is just... More

Is there a nicer sculpture park to spend the day? This park is a real treasure you must visit during a (longer) stay in Holland. The collection is well balanced and all services are spot on.

We visited this treasure trove of art while on a tulip Time cruise through The Netherlands and Belgium, and I was completely unaware of it prior to then. It isn't far from Arnhem and is situated in the middle of a national park, thus adding to the mystique and beauty of the place. The 90 paintings and over 100 drawings... More

I went to see the Van Gogh Gallery - although the size is not comparable to the Van Gogh Museum, the content is. The descriptions and texts have some very interesting information on Van Gogh's life and personality. And in this one you can photograph the paintings - both because it's allowed and because it's not as crowded. The visit... More

The museum is beautifully located in the midst of a nature reserve, worthwhile a visit of its own. Take a free bike at the entrance of the reserve and peddle your way (2-3 km) to the museum. They have a great collection of sculptures, big and small, in the park. Perfect for a leisurely walk. Inside, they have an amazing... More

This lovely museum was an add-on to our Tulip Time river cruise and I am so glad we opted to pay a few dollars to come out to an amazing spot. The collection of 20th century art is non-pareil and we were so lucky to also be able to view the last week of a special exhibition of VanGogh's sketches.... More

This private collection turned pull ic museum is a real treasure nestled in a large expansive estate with forests and sand dunes and bicycle Paths . Keep some time to enjoy the estate on bicycles that are available at no cost. The museum Itself is extremely well kept... More

Visited with family on a sunny March weekend, and was awed by the ambition of the place. After the beautiful park itself - which is so huge it feels about as far from anything you can get in the Netherlands - the architecture of the building and within the sculpture garden alone is worth seeing, let alone the extensive art...
