The cemetery is very well put together. The entrance monument is particularly moving and my favorite of the four American Cemeteries in Europe that I have visited. The employees for the Battlefield and Monuments Commission were top-notch and very informative. They also offer tours for free if you schedule in advance. The facilities were clean and the parking and roads... More

Every hero interred here or with a name on the Walls of Honor have been adopted by local Dutch families who come out periodically throughout the year and honor them with flowers & tributes so... Visited on a cold, windy and wet October afternoon, which felt fitting. There isn't much in the way of facilities, but ample opportunity for quiet reflection and an opportunity to discuss the sacrifice made with a generation for whom the war is very much a part of history.

This is a place that everybody should see once in a lifetime. The rows and rows - over 8500 - of crosses are impressive and humbling. Go there, be still and aware !!

The Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial is a moving place where thousands of American military heroes from WW2 are burried. Visit this place in order not to forget and to realize that without these heroes Europe would be a complete different place than it has been since the end of WW2.

I am a local. I take all my (international) guests here, and even if the idea of visiting "a cemetery" doesn't always appeal to everyone, the American Cemetery and Memorial never fails to leave a deep impression. Apart from it being extremely well-kept and set in a beautiful location, the seemingly-never-ending field of white crosses, as well as the historic... More

We are always moved by the memory of how so many young people died to bring peace. 1800 US soldiers are buried here. Every American should come to these sacred places.
