A coffee tour is esssential when visiting Colombia. We stayed on the estate, but they forgot to pick us up on time for the tour. The tour lasted 3 hours which was a bit lonfg for whet we learnt.

We went on a Saturday to visit the coffee farm, it was a nice and relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Informative tour, beautiful farm. The lunch was delicious, we had ajiaco and of course lots of coffee! The walk around the farm is easy, just bring a hat and lots of sunscreen. We didn't pack a bathing suit but... More

This is a good day out from Manizales. The guide was very informative about coffee production (we asked so many questions and he had the answers to every one of them) and the tour in the morning is in English. The only downside is that if you don't want to stay after lunch (which is not included) to hang around... More

This is a great option if you are staying for a couple of days in the coffee region and want to understand and live the cooffe growing and drinking experience. This tour will only take about 3 hours and its near manizales (20 min aprox). The tour is in English and the place is really nice. You get to visit... More

We started off with a small cup of delicious expresso. Then our guide gave a one-hour talk, in good English, about the history of the coffee industry and present day challenges and operations. We then had a short walk through the plantation and to the mill. It was a Sunday so no one was working. She showed us how the... More

Very informative guide, beautiful grounds, well-organized tour, and decent coffee. A bit annoyingly, the tour wouldn't start till absolutely everybody arrived (some were 20+ minutes late), so a large group of us were hanging around waiting for it to start. Nonetheless, the staff tried to keep us engaged during this time. Think there could have been a bit more wondering... More

Andrew, the Tour Guide was a volunteer who seemed to never have stood in front of a group before. He didn't give much Information on how the Coffee is processed (washing/drying/packaging) or about the picking itself while the Group followed him totally dispersed through the plantation and the wet mill. I expect a Tour Guide to call a group together... More

The Coffee Tour is really excellent and well worth it. A must to do in Maniziales. You learn a lot about coffee. From growing to harvesting till roasting. But be aware of the 30% vouchers you find in some hostels. They are a Kind of a fake and Not valid for the coffee Tour. It only valid for accomodation.

Wonderful experience! We loved being at the Hacienda and remained on the 200 hectares for our entire stay. We hiked most of the suggested routes.
