By far the North of England's best beach, and for good reason. This beach is over a mile long, made up of soft, light colored sand, and offers more activities than most others such as swimming, windsurfing, kite-boarding, kayaking, boogie boarding and occasionally surfing.

Simply stunning beach and when you need a snack there are many places in the area such as crusoes cafe located directly on the beach, or the pub behind the grand hotel.

We live Worthing walking distance of this beach so visit often for a stroll with the dogs or a splash in the sea on a hot day. It's a gorgeous stretch of beach with beautiful views.

If we had the climate this beach would be perfect! If the dog ban covered the whole beach, it would be brilliant! Once October arrives, dogs will overrun the beach and calm, quiet walks will be impossible! Go now! One week left!

This is a pleasant beach, for sure, and a lovely place for a 15 minute stroll. If you want a longer beach walk, though, you may do better to travel a little further north to Whitley Bay, and walk along the beach to St Mary's lighthouse, or if you have the time, travel further still to Druridge Bay country park,...
