If you want to escape to the most beautiful, undeveloped place on earth, this just might be it. It's certainly the most accessible of this kind--4-hr flight from US/CA plus 1/2-hr jumper. It's also surprisingly affordable, depending on your approach. It's a stunning, private island...More

Salt Cay is a quiet corner with fascinating history, and stunning waters. It is a tiny 2.5 square mile island, largely taken up by abandoned salt ponds. The beaches are stunning.

Just amazing! nothing to do besides snorkel, go out on the whale-watching boat, sit in the sand, eat drink and be merry. If you're not able to entertain yourself listening to waves crash for days on end, this place isn't for you. But if you're...More

Put this one on your bucket list! Love the quiet, historical salt raking community. People are kind and friendly. Make sure you find all the island stores, Ms Pat Simmons home cooked meals, and Ms Nettie's bread, and if you dive or snorkel, the excellent...More

The flight from Provo to Salt Cay was a bit frightening but well worth the scare. We rented the Purple Conch for about a week, it was awesome. We brought some food, bought stuff at a small stand, and ate at Porter's Island Thyme (amazing...More

I only landed briefly on Grand Turk, but the two places are very different. Salt Cay is remote and has awesome diving and history. You can take the ferry to Grand Turk like three days a week. Grand Turk has more shopping and... More
