These ancient structures are amazing. The city layout is still there for all to envisage. Some people may just see ruins but I could envisage a thriving city. A theatre, street design, government buildings and even public toilets are still all there, courtesy of Greek and Roman culture.

This boat trip was great tbh, weather was perfect 👌 first shore is the furthest, the captain drops the anchor ⚓ your there for an hour to swim to the shore and catch some sun (watch out for wasps)🐝. With the anchor returned you set off for the second location just off a beach, this is where you have your... More

As we had previously visited Ephesus from Kusadasi, we decided to take a tour to Hierapolis situated above the famous travertine hot springs of Pamukkale. We found the day trips by bus did not get back in time for our cruise ship's departure, but the website recommended a private taxi tour for our family of 4 adults. We were delighted... More

Guide Emek was great, impeccable English; organized, timely, informative and thoughtful. Would tell us when souvenirs were worth it or just junk, etc. Would have liked a tour that included Mary's house but I may have chosen wrong.

My husband and I recently did a shore excursion at Kusadasi to Ephesus. We researched many companies and finally decided to do a tour with a local company called Ephesus Shuttle which is owned by Curio Travel. We found this tour to be excellent. Firstly the tour included The Terrace Houses which other companies did not include. So glad we... More

Our last shore tour was from the port of Kusadasi Turkey with Curio travel (Ephesus Shuttle). The owner, Fevzi Turhan, has 18 years of experience doing private shore tours and his staff is outstanding. (www.ephesusshuttle.com). He always responded quickly to our emails and did a great job in arranging a private shore tour for 60 people. The guides and Mr... More

Kusadasi is an island of Turkey. Many holiday there in the summer. Wonderful shopping of leather, turkish rugs, hand made ceramics etc. Warm and friendly people willing to talk to tourists. A custom if you enter a shop is to be greated with apple tea, a sweet hot drink.

We took the shuttle to Ephesus run by the above company as we only had a morning in port. They advertised a two and a half hour tour including the terrace houses, and be back to the ship by 12.30pm. The cost was 39 US$ a person. We were the only two people in the minivan and the guide was... More

the most unexpected surprise of a beautiful city, with nice beaches, casual cozy restaurants by the sea, pleasant people with good humour and good spirits, an interesting Grand Bazar, much smaller than in Istambul but neater and you can do the same walking around, bargaining and looking around in a nicer setup. And then walk by the beachside. Also visit Ephesus... More
