Human Connections offers a completely unique cultural experience. We bring our guests into the vibrant neighborhoods within Bucerias that travelers rarely get to see. There, we visit three different homes and engage with local artisans, tradespeople and food vendors. We spend about an hour with each person, learning the story behind their craft and seeing the "real Bucerias" through their eyes. While you will enjoy an outstanding homemade meal and history about the area, your favorite thing about the tour will surely be the people you meet. They are simply inspiring.

This is a tour about progress (not a tour about poverty) that aims to foster cultural exchange and promote local businesses, all the while providing our guests with an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Took a half day tour with Maya to see two genuinely hard working families making connections with the tourist industry through their crafting skills as well as a local restaurant visit to enjoy probably the best soup I've ever tasted. Such an interesting window into the genuine hard work of these wonderful hosts.

This trip was fantastic. I was humbled by the commitment of the entrpreneurial artisans, dependent on seasonal sales, their willingness to share their stories and the enterprising spirit they each displayed. I will do this again.

You haven't experienced Mexico until you have made "Human Connections." This was a true cultural experience away from the resorts, meeting the real people who make the meticulous art and delicious food in the area. Learning about the hardships the local people have fought through gives you amazing respect and appreciation for how far they have come. The pride they... More

We met Leonarda, an artisan who works with beads, and Christino, a wood carver and his wife Maria who bakes bread. Hearing their stories and seeing where and how they live was eye opening to me. Their experiences really put an entirely new perspective on what one sees in the local community, and gives one an appreciation for how hard... More

I am a private teacher and I took my first-grade students on this tour. They had a lot of interactive fun with the families we met and we got to hear all about the lives and stories of the people we visited. Human Connections gives back to the community and this is a group you can feel great about supporting.... More

Went on walking tour today with Elly and Iris as guides. It was a wonderful experience that left us filled with hope and amazement. It was such an honor to hear the strength and spirit of the people we met. Take this opportunity to experience Bucerias in a unique and interesting way.

Eventhough I have lived here in Bucerias over 15 years I was not aware of how the Artisans of the area have made their way to this point. I see things differently now, I see them better and with a positive feeling. Human connections as its names says, made me feel closer to my own comunity. I am very grateful... More

My wife and I recently did a day tour with Human Connections, and greatly appreciated the opportunity to learn more about some of the local folk, to hear their stories, and to better appreciate some of the challenges they face as well as some of the talents they possess. As a former Peace Corps Volunteer and as a Clinical- Community... More

No matter where you go in Mexico, you can find culturally enriching experiences. Human Connections moves beyond the traditional tourist experience of Puerto Vallarta to connect visitors with the stories and journeys of local entrepreneurs and artisans in the neighboring beach town of Bucerias, Nayarit! During the trip, we had the unique opportunity to visit with local business owners and... More
