Really stunning place. Lots of really interesting artefacts and tombs, just as good as Minster without the entry fee. Highly recommend taking some time out of your day for a quiet wander around Selby Abbey, if nothing more than to appreciate how amazing the place...More

I have lived in Selby all my life, but I still find something new everytime I visit. Its free and close to bus & rail services. Inside are lots of places to explore, peepholes to find, always something going on.

Ok - it's another medieval Abby church but it's a good one and worth dropping into. Try to see if there's something on as there often is.

Selby is a little visited town, yet surprisingly really nice. We visit on a Monday as the outdoor markets are really worth a walk around, (take a large bag with you!!), and the beautiful Abbey is well worth a look into.
