We drove two hours out of our way to come here and it was well worth it! You can spend as much time with the wallabies as you like. They are incredibly docile, and you can feed them and pet them inside of their paddocks....More

Definitely worth stopping off to wander around the various fenced off areas and feed the Wallabies. Some are shy and some very greedy but all different. A unique experience and sanctuary and you know your entrance fee is being used for a good cause.

Were looking for something to do on the drive between Oamaru and Christchurch. This was a great stop off, was great to be able to feed the wallabies as well as hold a baby one! Must do activity if youre in the area.

If you want to get up close and feed wallabies, don’t miss this. We saw wallabies when we visited Australia, but here we got to feed them. This place puts Waimate on the map.
