Perfect for a relaxing holiday in a quiet resort. Great walking for all abilities and the use of the boats and cog railway open up the area- well worth buying a week ticket- note that dogs must wear a muzzle on the boats.

We were visiting from the Maurach side and it was a short walk from town to the lake side. It was early evening and there were lots of kite surfers on our edge of the water. Towards the middle there were some sailboats (and lots more moored up) and in the distance we could see a ferry ploughing a triangular... More

A great place to visit. Trips on the lake, nice places to relax with a coffee and cake. Plenty of seats on the lake side to sit and watch the world go by. Well worth a visit.

There are two options to chosse from an hour 10 Euro or 20 Euro hour and half. We choose the tour of the whole lake, but the shorter trip would have been better value. The boat gets very busy ans like all the British we queued politley, then the boat comes along and would you belive it everyone else pushes... More

41km from Innsbruck, Archensee is a must to visit. It's serenity and peacefulness really felt and make our spirit high. The water is calm & clear turquoise green . The backdrop setting are mountains with snow capped. Rofanseibahn is just next to the bay . Cable car ride to the top at a fee and you can admire the beautiful... More

Spectacular scenery and crystal clear water. The path around the lake is easy walking except for one short part. The ferry is regular and makes all parts easy to get to. The electric boats mean that although the ferry and the edges of the lake get very crowded there is a silence which is hard to find these days.

The Achensee (the Lake of Achen) is one of my favourite places. I mostly spent my time in winters, there. However, the area offers a scenic and calm atmosphere to the visitors in summers, too. You might have numerous chances to walk, ride a bicycle, as well as make skating and croos-country skiing (in winters) around the lake. The Achensee... More

If you are in Pertisau in Achensee hire an electric boat and spend a peaceful hour or so on the lake. The Crystal clear water is beautiful with the mountains surrounding the lake. The views are amazing from the lake. Its also great fun for the kids. Whenever we visit this beautiful part of Austria we dont want to leave.

The spectacular view of lake Achensee in the lap of huge green mountains is a heavenly experience indeed. We stayed in Achenkirch region of Achensee for three days. This place is full of family acitivities and kid's play area.

We have chosen to spend three nights this summer at Pertisau on Achensee to enjoy the nature, nice climate and relax which was a part of our three weeks-vacation after a busy year. We were hesitant in the beginning but reading more about this site helped us to make our decision even Pertisau area was fully booked since more than... More
