Voted one of the Gold Coast's most popular tourist destinations, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the crown jewel of the National Trust of Australia (Queensland) [NTAQ] properties. As one of Queensland's earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is a physical embodiment of everything the NTAQ represents: dedication to conserving our nation's Indigenous, natural and historic heritage and culture. With Blinky Bill now present for daily shows, the amazing viewing experiences available at the Wildlife Hospital and hundreds of native Australian animals on display in natural bushland and rainforest settings, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is the ultimate holiday adventure for the entire family.

I was really excited to visit the sanctuary to then leave a bit disappointed. We paid $125 including a koala photo which is in my opinion quiet a fair bit of money. The sanctuary itself has pretty much only Australian animals and the ones that...More

If you love animals and wildlife this is your dream paradise. Hand feed Rainbow Lorrikiets these are birds not in a cage or enclosure, they are free to fly but they drop in for a feed, the feed is prepared by the Sanctuary that benifits...More

This is probably one of the most disappointing tourism experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel staff were gushing about the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, and my mum has always wanted a photo with a koala so we thought what better opportunity than to check this place...More

Abuse of animals in uncomfortable conditions, just business hypocritically hidden behind helping animals. #themToo

Loved the bird show. Great talented birds and handlers. Was a nice path to walk around although got frustrated where the quokkas were (signs weren’t updated). Staff was very friendly and personable. Loved the chance to hang with a roo. I only hope it doesn’t...More

Very broad range of animals, talks and hands-on experiences. The open Kangaroo area is amazing, where you can pat and hand feed them. We also loved the birdshow and crocodile talk so hang around for that if you can, although arrive a few minutes early...More

Took some family here who live in the U.K. and we had a nice day out. It's awesome to get up close and personal with so many Australian animals!

Got my very first koala photo taken here. In other parks you may also touch the koala but they said thus is the only park in Australia that you can hold the koala. The park is quite big, bigger than the reptile park in Sydney....More
