What a nice breakaway

We had fun and the accommodation was perfect for a group of friend just wanting to relax, braai and take in nature. The small children also enjoyed the time here.

Had a fabulous family getaway at a private cottage at Idwala within the Mabalingwe Game reserve in Limpopo province (an hours drive from Pretoria) Lovely facilities, beautiful scenery (African bushveld) and we were lucky to spot lots of game on the drives.

We enjoyed our weekend getaway emensly at the Mabalingwe Nature Reserve! The horse riding was amazing, and the sunset drive fantastic. Our game ranger Karel was awesome! I recommend that they provide rain coats for guests for sudden rain storms. The lion feeding is also a must on the to do list! We enjoyed our dining experience at the restaurant,... More

One of my favourite places. This beautiful Bushveld resort is one of the most beautiful and well managed timeshare resorts I have ever been to. here one can sit on your patio and allow nature to come to you. A magnitude of wild birds will come to sit in the trees surrounding the braai area and treat you to all... More

Superb place to enjoy nature but also have fun in the sun. Staff is amazing and friendly and the self catering chalets are well set up and beautiful. Game drives are a fun and the 4x4 route (Tracks4Africa if you can't find it) is amazing for sundowners with 360 degree views

Enjoyed a superb relaxing weekend with friends at Sekelbosgat at Mabalingwe Nature Reserve. Excellent lodge with all the amenities you can dream of. 4 bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Clean, spacious accommodation and wildlife galore.

Mabalingwe Nature reserves boasts some great flora and fauna, The sand roads are very smooth and in great condition for light vehicles. Unfortunately many visitors take a cycle and a jog taking away that real getaway experience. Having to wait for them to get out of a photo can be very annoying. There are wild animals running around yet they... More

We visited Mabalingwe from 3-9 October 2016. It was plesant and the staff was very friendly. The unit is a bit old at tlou lodge but was very clean. We saw 100's of animals from elephants, buffalo, bush pigs, warthogs ect. The restaurant staff service was also good and the drinks was always ice cold, and the food was nice... More

Self-catering units were well-looked after and we also encountered very friendly staff. The condition of the bushveld unfortunately is a shame. Sickle bushes are taking over where the effort to get rid of these invader plants, should have begun years ago. The result is that normal thorn trees, grass and other trees/plants finds it very difficult to survive with the... More
