Torreguadiaro was the first village on the Med in Cadiz province before the port of Sotogrande was even thought of. It retains its mainly Spanish feel and now both the by-pass and motorway have been built is a peaceful holiday destination. The beach is popular with Spanish daytrippers in season but during the week it is relatively quiet with plenty of room on the large car park. From mid June to mid September there are two popular beach bars offering food, drinks sunbeds and parasols. Behind the beach are a couple of beach bars serving food (bbq sardines out front at weekends). The village offers about 10 restaurants and bars with food to suit all tastes from Indian to Italian, traditional to modern spanish and mediterranian cooking. There are 3 hotels offering accomodation to suit all budgets. If you are looking for plenty of nightlife this is not the place for you - but if you are prepared to travel or want to have time on a quiet beach or see this area of Andalucia then Torreguadiaro could be the ideal base.

Have been along this coast a few times and am always amazed that this little gem is still being by passed as people go to its neighbour Sotogrande
Torreguadiaro has a good variety of restaurant and tapas place to sit and eat,. its a small one road town with a nice beach that you can relax.

Once finished here move along the coast to Sotogrande to see the nice boats, have areally nice meal and rub shoulders with Race car drivers, actors and the Polo set. Then move along to coast another mile or so and you come to Alcaidesa, great golf course fantastic 7k beach, and a few bars to watch the sun go down having a few beers.

There are many beaches between Estepona and Gibraltar. Near Sotogrande, this beach has the best vibes, and plenty of parking. The water is clean, the waves fun for kids, and you can rent deck chairs at two beach bars. The crowd is young and having fun. The views from the beach are average. There are water sports activities occurring offshore, but the noise /diesel fumes are not on top of you.

Much better than Sotogrande Beach if you want something a bit lively.

Went for the day. Underwhelming beach all in all. It has a few cafes along it playing music, the buildings along the beach are very unattractive with a couple of tower blocks in for good measure. The sand is a bit grey and shelves a little steeply into the sea (which is not especially warm as Mediterranean meets Atlantic). It's not crowded so that might be a plus; you can get sun beds for 5euros. Of all the coastlines in Spain, this won't be one you'll be taking any photos of. Not a holiday destination I would be happy to have booked and not a particularly great excursion either.

We visited this restaurant a couple of times last year while on holiday. The pizzas are very good and plenty of choice. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Prices are good. Will be going there again this year.

This is a great beach with lots of facilities. Very buy in summer and sometimes difficult to find parking.

A very pleasant sort of place, good for eating and a good central spot for touring southern Spain. Gibraltar is within easy reach and well worth a visit.

Quiet and pretty. Lovely people. Unspoiled beach. Lots of places to eat and a variety of cuisines. Only place I've ever eaten tapas and sushi in same meal! Love it.

Many tourists explore from Malaga to Marbella and don't go further up the coast than that. Torreguadiaro is not drowned with tourists and has several excellent restaurants, specialising in freshly caught fish. Which are usually superb and reasonably priced. Torreguadiaro also has a Blue Flag beach.
