Wat Nokor is really cool. There are not many foreign visitors, and the locals still use the place. It is pretty quiet and peaceful. Just be aware that you do have to pay to go inside, which varies from person to person.

What should of been a pleasant relaxing stroll around the wat was spoiled by the police who've now set up shop there and are demanding an entrance fee. OK it's only a dollar but they got on my nerves so I gave them what for and left.

Very interesting temple ruin. Of quite large size with a monastery and lakes also on the grounds. Ruin has a modern temple at its heart which is still in use. This site could be improved immensely if the owners, the monks, picked up all the litter, removed the grazing cows and generally maintained the site. It could be spectacular. Russel... More

Do you want to see a Khmer complex, without the crowds of Angkor Wat? This is it. Yes it is small, however you really get the feeling of the ancient empire here. And as a bonus, inside of the old temple is a newer temple and then close by is a modern Buddhist Pagoda.

For anybody interested in history, this place is a must visit. I loved the mix of ancient and modern which gave it a feeling of continuity throughout the ages. We came across a couple who were having their wedding photos taken and this place seems popular for this as the surroundings certainly add to the atmosphere of the photography.

This ancient temple near Kompong Cham has a newer temple built inside, and a Buddhist Wat on the same grounds. I have brought guests here who really enjoyed it, and taken some great photos. You may see a few other visitors, but completely different from the crowded Angkor Wat experience. Consider wandering over to the Wat to see a modern... More

Had a private guide through this area. Heard the monks drumming exactly at five pm and the chanting at six. Such a beautiful place and great photo op. Lots of depth, and the inside prayer is spectacular. Quite a surprise once inside.

Of you have already been to Ankor Wat this is going to be a little disappointing. Although there areany photo opportunity the place itself is a little tatty. Entry was free although watch out for old ladies selling friendship bracelets at 1 $ each. Hood to spend 45mins at at most. Easily reachable by push bike from Kampong Cham centre... More
