While I didn’t expect first class service, his old and worn ferry was below basic. The rough shape of the vessel did little to inspire confidence in it’s seaworthiness. Old and rundown is a generous description.

Used the ferry service to get from Butterworth to Georgetown. Good experience. Clean and safe with seats for passengers. Good view approaching Penang. Leisure sail to the island at a very affordable price (cheap). No complaints.

It is a good idea to take a ferry service to cross Malacca Straits, it is a very good and comfortable. You can look out to see a beautiful of Georgetown and the Malacca Straits.
