A beautiful garden overlooking the sea. We did a self guided tour that was very informative. This beauty tucked away makes you feel like it is a secret garden with a beautiful pond, rare plant species and birds chirping.
Make sure to apply mosquito repellent properly, that is provided at the ticket counter.

We did a self guided tour following the trails and map. It is such a beautiful place, we really loved it here and found so much to see and photograph, including a beautiful Giant Golden Orb Spider. The trees and flowers are just incredible. Highly recommended visit - one of our favourite things on the island.

The garden exceeds our expectations with a wide variety of interesting plants set in a cool and clean environment. Our guide Su Li was very knowledgeable and interesting. Would strongly recommend this place for nature lovers and family.

I choose English and my friend choose Mandarin, we can walk to where we like and listen to what we want to know. We feel interest and enjoy to know more about different kind of plant. I like the big Swing on the tall tree, such big idea. Moreover, there are a free drink on top of the path.

Came here for the first time and decided to do the 1st guided tour of the day on a Sunday and I definitely enjoyed the guided tour of the Spice Garden. The tour guide, Tammy, definitely made the tour very interesting as she was very passionate about the spices that were beneficial for food and also for health. As a result, I was able to learn about the various spices that are available in the Spice Garden.
As someone who consider myself as a city boy, this garden definitely blows my mind away and was pleasantly surprised by the garden and its setting.
Would definitely recommend taking the live guided tour if you have the chance.

A place with amazing greenery exemplary of tropical Malaysia with clear paths taking guests up and down hill. The giant swing overlooking the garden and the relaxing foot massage stones look inviting enough. However, the spice garden has nothing to do with its name! The display of flora and spices is extremely poor (the information signs show no correlation with the plants next to them, which looked about the same throughout the whole garden). We felt the ripped -off as we paid RM25 per person (Senior's fees) to see something which was almost non-existent in that garden. I can't understand how the garden is rated 4 stars and is marked as one of the top attractions!

I hadn't read much about the Tropical Spice Garden before my visit and, on arrival, was pleasantly surprised. I'm normally not bothered about audio tours and like to just explore places like this myself, maybe reading one or two info signs as I walk round, but the Tropical Spice Garden has done the audio tour really well. Each section is only about 60-90 seconds long and the information is pretty interesting. There is a great selection of things for explore - even if you don't have much interest in plants like myself, you can still enjoy a good hour or so here.

The place is very pretty, and we got to drink a nice hot cup of tea near the bamboo garden. There are also slides for kids to play with.

We booked this before arriving in Penang . The garden tour was brilliant and our guide was very knowledgable and he transferred his enthusiasm to us. The hour long visit was much better than expected and we would highly recommend it . Afterwards we had a cooking class with Jamie ( not Oliver) in an air conditioned kitchen. We cooked a superb Malaysian beef curry, garlic and chilli kale as well as coconut filled pancakes. A great experience and our mentor was brilliant . Thank you Jamie from you English guests.

hi, if we are coming in a group of 16 persons by a 40 seats tour bus, is there any parking lot near and how far we need to walk to your garden after the bus parked? And we are thinking to have lunch at your restaurant on Aug 2 around 11:30, is it possible to book?

There is live guided tour at 1:30 pm but can i choose between live guided tour and audio tour? Or i have to buy ticket for live guided tour? I am not really like live guided tour much, because 2 of my group speak chinese, not english.
And can you update the tickets price?
Thanks.

Is it easy to get/walk around the garden, are there any steep inclines. Thank you.

The person I went with had some mobility issues. (Parkinson's) You can choose to some degree your own path ... and if there's a set of steps that looks daunting, you can usually find another route to see something else in the garden.
