Kancil Walk
May 2021
Went for the Kancil Walk with our personal guide, Mr Choo, and thoroughly enjoyed the 3-hour educational walk cum talk. Despite not spotting some fauna, our guide has brought along some photos to show us and kept us interested throughout with his anecdotes and vast knowledge.
The Habitat is well kept and the information plaques tells interesting stories.

Sunset Walk
Apr 2021 • Friends
I've visited The Habitat many times before but have never done the Sunset Walk until this time. We had a personal guide with our group who was so knowledgeable about the the forest. He had picture prompt cards to point out local wildlife and answered our questions too. We enjoyed walking around the trails in daylight, before going to the Treetop walk to watch the sunset. It was hit and miss with cloud but our guide,Naz, kept us entertained with knowledge until we were lucky enough to see a beautiful sunset. After that, we used torches and walked a trail in the dark where Naz pointed out some interesting creatures of the night.

Every time I visit The Habitat I see something new. It remains my favourite place in Penang

Fantastic adventure and nature park
Jan 2021 • Couples
We spent about 3 hours here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We bought the full package including zipline.
The park is beautifully designed and very well maintained. The sky walk, canopy walk and gift shop are beautifully designed and well built. The trails are full of beautiful sites and plenty of interesting information signs.
Most of all the staff were so friendly and professional, and so helpful.
We will definitely be back

I went for a guided tour and it was well worth the additional cost. Our tour guide was so intelligent and resourceful, helped us make the walk fun and a great learning experience. We even got to see Chunky the monkey.

Must visit if you're up to Penang Hill
Dec 2020
Our first time here and we were blown away. The rainforest was so alive. Sound of bugs, insects and trees. We didn't expect it to be so fun. We took our time to experience nature at its best.

A quick dip into nature
Dec 2020 • Couples
We visited this on Boxing Day on the Ultimate Rainforest experience package. The Habitat itself is a beautiful park, and our knowledgeable guide Nazirul, pointed out many interesting insects, animals and plants as we walked the path. Included in our package was a packed lunch, which we partook at the Curtis Crest. The gift shop at the exit is also well stocked with interesting items. Although our package included a fast track ticket on the funicular train operated by Penang Hill Corporation, it only meant that we did not have to queue with the throngs of people (especially on a holiday weekend such as this) and got to get to the top of the line. If you have a choice, go on a non-working weekday.

Hidden gem in Penang - try the guided tours if it’s your first time
Dec 2020
We found out about this place through a local friend, never heard of it otherwise. The staff are really helpful and friendly, from the process of inquiring, booking till the actual visit. We took the forest bathing package. They accommodated our request to fit in a special session for us (since we had a short stay and the slot we intended to sign up was not available to fit all of us), and also adjusted the timing to our request. Special shoutout to Yun Li, the staff handling the booking inquiries and patiently addressed all my questions and requests.

It was a good introduction to learning how to appreciate the forest and animals, and it was fun learning new facts. Only wished the explanations could be more in depth or cover more.

The place is full of plants and animals, and it was an amazing experience getting to see them. Would have loved to spend more time there but we were rushing - so if you are planning to come here, do allocate sufficient time, after the tour you could still walk around as the tour does not cover all areas. If you enjoy nature, you could easily spend at least half a day here.

The price is a little steep, but the special promo pricing helped.

I would love to return here again, and hope that the management could consider making some adjustments to the pricing so that it becomes more affordable (understand that this goes towards the conservation of the place).

Forest bathing & Fun course zip line
Dec 2020 • Friends
We really enjoyed being in the Habitat. I really loved the coffee shop located near to zip line. It feels so calm and relaxing spot to enjoy coffee while listening to nature and surrounded by nature. We took forest bathing and fun course zip line. Package included of fast lane train ride up to Penang hill. Both xtvt are highly recommended esp Forest bathing (Treat stress with nature). It's a nature therapy session guided by instructor, aims to awaken our 5 senses (sight, hear touch, smell, taste) & connects to nature. It includes breathing exercises, meditating, earthing & will end with a tea tasting session. Feeling recharged and refreshed after the session. We continued our nature walk around the Habitat after done all the activities. The giant swing, canopy walk and tree top walk are amazing!

Overall it was great a experience. We booked our tickets via WhatsApp and the arrangements was proper and professionally done. All staff that attended to us on that day are really friendly, helpful, ready and aware about our visitation. I'm glad that i found this place online. Definitely will come and visit again hopefully soon.
