Had a pleasant morning wondering through the town & down to the water through the medieval gardens. Chateau is undergoing restoration & wasn't open the morning we went but it is still worth a look. A lovely place for a meander

Spent a lovely afternoon here today, the Château itself is under some construction, but this does not detract from its imposing looks. We arrived too early for the 1.30pm tour but this gave us time to wander around the nearby lake and have our picnic with the Château as the amazing backdrop. You can visit the Château itself by guided... More

Short visit to Château, which was very close to our accommodation. Parking was ample. Recommend a couple of hours to see.

My wife and I were in the region staying with some friends. One day we had a walk around the chateau and its extensive grounds and gardens. There are two lakes there where one can fish or picnic on the grassy banks.

Scenic, nice picnic area next to pond. Chateau only open afternoons or not at all if there is a function on. Nice walk down to ponds with picnic tables etc.

A gem of a French town, Lassay sports a fine Norman Chateau, built in the 12th. century, and still inhabited and standing proud. A walk round the town reveals quite a few rustic bars and restaurants round every corner, and is well worth a visit. Most charming.

The Les in Lassay Les Chateaux is plural, so there are three Chateaux in Lassay, two are ruins but still worth a look, the one you see in the picture is in fine condition and has guided tours in the summer, a lovely town square with two bars, beautiful rose gardens, and two large lakes by the Chateaux make this... We found this little village and chateau in a leaflet from the Office de Tourisme and were delighted with it. So peaceful compared to other medieval sites which are more popular with tourists. We found a lovely bar for a fabulous and very cheap lunch; and enjoyed a lovely walk around the lakes overlooked by the beautiful chateau. A perfect... More

This is a châteaux, that's open part of the year. Its quite nice inside the guide are not too good, and not much inside to see from the era its built, but the photos and walks around it are truly beautiful.
