This is an excellent museum dealing with the production of moonshine in the local area. The outside of the building is unremarkable, however once you are inside, you are impressed with the information provided. The facts were well presented, basically following a chronological order. The lady at the counter was very helpful and friendly. At $5 per person, this museum... More

Visited this museum last week and were pleasantly surprised by how informative this place was. A great collection of memorabilia and insight into the moonshine activities.

Rained. Nothing to do. Went to this exhibit! It was well worth the $5 entry for how much there is in it! The video and history were very interesting and I don't even drink! I loved how much of the old clippings and stories there were, it really had my interest.

These people certainly know their local history and are very passionate about the history and the area. This museum is very well put together and have even made up moonshine from the old recipe.

They miss some big points, or dont make it clear. eg) dates of when things happen. They did a nice job of giving lots of personal stories. Well worth the $5. There is a free museum about the local area attached to it. It does not open very early (1PM) so do know that.

We popped in after visiting the splendid art gallery over the road and were delighted to find some great storytelling about Gore's lawless grogging, augmented by settler history. Well worth a visit.

My wife wasn't interested but I took the time to have a look at the exhibition. Incredible resource for a small town and very interesting historical story.
