We walk our dog here most days along the many tracks and paths. Good parking at 4 car parks but these do get busy when it's a good day and on these days we go early (before 11am). At the main enatrance there are two coffee shops in the courtyard and another restaurant at the garden centre. With teenage kids... More

Although cold we went here while visiting family. The kids loved running around chasing the dog. In fact if you don't have a dog you are the odd one out.

There is no doubt that this is a beautiful park. So near Glasgow it's good to escape the city to get fresh air and walking exercise. However it's proximity to the city is it's downfall. This proximity makes the park convenient for dog walking companies, to use it as a dog convenience. On one occasion I spotted three separate dog... More

Parking can be tricky on a sunny day as the car parks aren't that big Lots to do for the young ones with play park Cafe serving all sorts of cafe food, all home made. There is a shop to ire bikes so you can cycle around the lake. There is a castle ruin. Plenty of space for exercising your... More

What a great walk. Very picturesque and one to recommend for all the family as lots to things to see and do. Had lunch at the Chunky Monkey Coffee house, panini's and coffees etc. Shame you have to sit outside with dogs but understand why. Lovely place x

...any time of the year. It's only ruined by trail bikers cycling past young kids and dogs on the paths (here's a novel idea, keep the speeding cyclists away from the dog walkers and families out for a wander - it's not like the park isn't big enough). We never get bored in this park but the only thing I... More

This is definitely a beautiful area. The walking paths are great and we saw lots of local residents out walking their dogs. The castle ruins and the WW II bunkers are well worth the walk.

Amazing design and beautiful flowers. Love the hedge work and the numerous people with their dogs of all varieties. Nice start to our vacation in Scotland.

Nice wee place to visit. Good day out with the family and also dog friendly. Play park and adventure area good for the kids. Good big walks for dogs. Hot and cold refreshments available. A garden centre for those with green fingers. An old castle ruins too. Would recommend a visit to those who like the outdoors.
