Yes, there are many churches on Mykonos and each are unique and different. I think the location of this church and the design makes this a special church. It's actually several churches combined. It's easy to locate when in the old town and the views are wonderful. You can't go inside but it's a great photo op from the outside.

A great photo opportunity. As far as I could tell there was no way to enter the church the day I visited, but the structure was so interesting, we made sure to see it. I recommend taking a walk all around Mykonos to see this site along with the rest of the town. We also stopped for Baklava at some... More

Reportedly the oldest church on the island, Panagia Paraportiani Byzantine church was started in 1425 and finished in 17th century. You cannot go inside. There must be at least a couple dozen churches downtown and all of them are interesting.

The design is interesting but there are numerous small churches in this town, like every street corner.

We only took a photo of this church. It is beautiful, but in Mykonos town itself are plenty of small churches and some of them has deep pink bouganvillas which makes stunning photos.

One of the most famous and most photographed churches on Mykonos is the Church of Our Lady of the Side Gate. This Greek Orthodox church dedicated to the Virgin Mary is very unique. Construction of thee two-story church is an asymmetrical blending of four churches into one. These formed the base for the 5th church. The church dates back to... More

Worth the stroll by to see the architecture of this church. The church was not open to see inside....which was a bit of a disappointment.

You pass the church on the way from Old Port to Little Venice and the Windmills. The outside architecture is quite unique and worth some photos. It overlooks the ocean and is a good place to watch the sunset. Unfortunately, the church was closed when I was there so I didn’t see any of the inside. I give it 4... More

The Church is not open for inside viewing except for one day a year. This is a disappointment but with as many tourists as come here, it would be hard on the church. Well worth visiting to enjoy the beauty and take some classic photos.

It's regrettable that you can't see the inside of the chapel normally, but the church of Paraportiani is one of the most picturesque spots on Mykonos. This is actually a 5-in-1 church with the upper level built over the top of other chapels. The architecture is a perfect example of Greek Orthodox in the Greek Islands and the view of... More
