A hidden gem in Mykonos town, this weird and totally distorted white architecture just fits perfectly in the landscape of Mykonos, with shades of blue, yellow or orange at the sunset, pictures of Paraportiani make the best postcards.

I go frequently to Mykonos and I always pass by Paraportiani. I enjoy shooting pictures of this unique architectural monument. Great in the morning when the sun illuminates the front. Beautiful during sunsets.

It is a special place in the middle of the Chaos. With over than 1500 Churches, Mykonians are very loyalists to their Orthodox Believe.

We heard the story of the Church of Paraportiani prior to arriving in Mykonos. We finally located it and we're sorely disappointed to find the entire site closed. All you can do is walk around the unmarked building and leave. Not much to see.

We had just eaten at the Restaurant which takes its name from this Idyllic Church and went for a wander. Lovely piece of Greek History on Mykonos and a must visit for you on your trip.

As we wandered the narrow streets of old town on our way from the old port to the wind mills, it came strikingly into view. We did not go in, but gazed a long time on its external beauty. It felt as if we were...More

We didn't go in but it's amazing to see just from the outside! It just stands out against the blue sky, and all the different angles you can get photos from as well!! Once you get off the SeaBus go right to it first as...More
