Very interesting scenery and a lovely sculpture. I would have liked to have more information about the place; who mined it and when? What were they mining for? How did they do it and so on. That said it is only a short detour if you are walking the lakes, and I thought it was well worth it.…

Charming and Pleasant place. You can access to the entrance of one of the mines and the temperature inside in unbelievably low. Educational for kids. Free entrance

These small remains of the former mines are worth a visit. It is free and it is perfect with children. Nicely organised and easy to access.

Access to the mines is from the bus drop off point on the Lake Covadonga bus circuit. The paths are well sign posted/marked. Beware of the local cattle - they can get rather friendly.
