Typical catamaran excursion as you find in most islands. Average food, nice beach (with no activities for kids), little animation, bad snorkelling (no fish, strong current)...the real (short 10-15 minutes overall) fun was the dolphin encounter...I had a couple of these over the years and I must say the dolphins are very well trained and the additional cost quite reasonable... We booked this excursion at the hotel- $60 convertible pesos per person, which is well worth the money. After picking you up at your hotel, you are taken to the marina where you board one of the catamarans. Which catamaran depends on whether you have booked the dolphin tour or the tour without dolphins. If your older, have no little... More

Part of a catamaran tour, after a bit of snorkeling, we hit that fabulous island. Not crowded, Crystal water and white sand. It was the best day of our stay in cuba. Just install your chair in the water and enjoy it !

148 CUC entitled two people to get on a boring catamaran to "snorkel" in the ocean (not one fish was spotted) then on to a massively over populated narrow beach where the water was no better than our resort. Lunch was a school canteen affair with shockingly poor food. The toilet facilities were pretty grim too. All in all, we... More

We booked through our hotel, having had done similar style trips in Mexico. Unfortunately, the trip out to island was quite windy, and it felt like the staff didn't have any interest in creating a fun atmosphere. The snorkelling was short lived, the water being cool and choppy, and not much sea life being evident. The island was nice. Shallow... More
