It is quite easy to get to by car. the car park we parked our car is located at the entrance of the national reserve, the gorge is 150m away from there. Our major intention was the gorge itself so we skipped the national reserve....More

Get there early and walk trough the cold river with water shoes. Pay 1.50 euro for the stairs wich is easliy to do. It gets very crowdy in the course of the morning. We spend around 2 ours there wich was fine.

Wow, what an eye opener to the power and beauty of nature. The gorge is too beautiful as if created by a master of art when dished up a pallet of grey lava as his only tool. What He produced is beauty extreme! A must...More

After reading many reviews on here we purchased week long bus passes for interbus/Etna bus at €30.40 per person. Staying in Giardini Naxos we have found all the bus personnel helpful. We took the bus to alcantara gorge which was a lovely journey on an...More

If you are in Sicily you must visit this place. Take the 1.50 euros ticket option as there aren't many stairs so paying 15 euros for the lift isn't worth it. The place itself is breathtaking even thought the water is very cold but after...More

We used the public entrance, for 1,5 euros entry fee. Quite a long scaletrip took us down to the gorge, but it worth every steps! This place is amazing!

So there are lots of fun parts of this park (body floating, splash park etc) seem great even if they do cost extra. The nature paths are generally good and take you to some cool places (the pool where Venus was said to have bathed...More

Some sort of scam with the first entrance where they charge €13 for each person entry. Walk up the road about 400 - 500 metres where you pay €1.50 at a little hut on the right hand side of the road. Like nearly every other...More

Highly recommend booking tour guide with Sicily Adventures. Unforgettable river trek up the gorge with views you will find no other way. Knowledgeable guides (that grew up in this area) were challenging but kept safety first. We were originally going body rafting but experts advised...More

In 2017 it was 3€ for the public entrance, and 13€ for the elevator entrance (in this case there is also a little walk along the park). Anyway at the end you will arrive at the same point.
