If you are spending any amount of time in Acapulco it is worth it to schedule a visit to Pie de la Cuesta/Laguna de Coyuca. I booked the day trip with Aca Tours/Excusiones Aca at the Crowne Plaza Hotel where I am staying. Cuesta/Coyuca was going back in time -- to the time before Acapulco was discovered by Hollywood and... More

I started from Acapulco, took a bus labeled "Playa" out to the end destination at Pie de la Cuesta. It took one hour approx. to arrive. I was waiting about 5 min until next colectivo bus and vent on towards Barra de Coyuca. 30 min later I was standing at the narrow strip of land between Pacific Ocean and Laguna... More

My friends who lived in Mexico for a time took me here for some real good relaxing and Pie didn't disappoint. We came to Laguna for breakfast one morning and the owner brought us the most beautiful and delicious banana and rum milkshakes (yes, for breakfast!!), we were on our butts in no time, but thankfully this restaurant has hammocks... Nice place to kayak, watch birds, and eat lunch. Very shallow in many parts, so good if you have unsteady kayakers, or children in kayaks, or dogs that are not water-loving breeds.

does not worth the money you pay for what you expect to see; it's a waste of time; too hot whether even in December

A place to see! Some people say that it is where you have the most beautiful Sunset! Nice beach but you do not go swimming, the waves are too strong!

This was an all day trip, and included a buffet lunch, drinks and a swim. We travelled by van to the lagoon where we got on a motor boat. We had an hour's cruise around the lagoon. Birds are plentiful. It is a lovely site. We made one stop on a small island where there was an outdoor restaurant. The... More

The place is 30 minutes away from acapulco, if you don´t hit traffic, otherwise it can take much more to get there. You will not find typical tourists here, the food is average and for what you get, the prices ain`t the best. Expect to pay little, and get the same in return... There are some very nice views to...
